The German Nazi and rocket scientist Wernher von Braun became very popular with the US authorities after WW II and all his former Nazi sins disappeared under the American carpet. When von Braun was alive and working the Americans spent billions of dollars on things like sending humans into space, as if the problems on the planet we've already got wasn't enough.

The first eight bars is Lehrer playing the intro to "Deutschland Deutschland über alles". This was also the first Lehrer song published on this channel and the opening credits even spelled this von Braun guy's first name wrong. I'm sorry for that. The punishment should be that I won't ever be allowed into the US. The song itself is musical, it is satire and it is good fun.
