Last week saw the completion of one of the most bizarre internet auctions of modern time. Jay Nguyen truly put his neck on the line in the name of charity to raise funds for the Marine Conservation Society. Jay offered bidders on Sweemo.com the chance to fish slap him in the face with a 15lb salmon.

The auction was won by Chase Hoffman from Austin, Texas, who said "This guy seems nuts! I am certainly not coming all the way from Austin to give him a little tap!." Chase certainly didn't hold back with his slap as you can see in the video.

Chase, who offered a winning bid of £401 said "All my work friends think this is hilarious, my boss has even been giving me tips on the most effective swinging techniques!"

Sonia Moodie was the CEO of Don One Recording Sounds in Brooklyn. For over 30 years, the Moodies have been a fixture in the music business: Sonia started at age 16, under the tutelage of her brother-in-law, Sir Clement "Coxsone" Dodd at his Downbeat Studio, in Kingston, Jamaica; while Donald worked at Stranger Cole's Label. After several years, they migrated to the United States and worked at Studio One Records, which was owned by Sonia's sister, Norma Dodd. A few years later, they started "Coxsone Music City" which was later destroyed by fire. They then purchased a building of their own on Albemarle Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, which now house's the Don One studio. The business has rapidly developed into a mastering, recording, producing, dub plate and distribution studio where Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Wycleff Jean, the late Dennis Brown, Sizzla, Luciano and a host of other reggae artists frequently record.
