Barack Obama give's McCain a one two punch this am about the phony lipstick controversy that McCain made up to distract the public.

After seeing the McCain campaign's accusation about a month ago claiming Barack Obama played the so-called race card with no real evidence Obama accused McCain of attacking him for his race, I thought it highly hypocritical of senior McCain campaign spokesperson Nancy Pfotenhauer to gratuitously reach for the gender card within five minutes of the end of the event at which John McCain announced Sarah Palin as his choice for vice president. BROKAW: One of the things you've bee saying, over the course of your campaign, is that Senator Obama has neither the experience nor the judgment to be President of the United States. We've got some polls on how he's doing with the American Voter on some of the critical issues of the day. This is the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, that was taken from October 17th to October 20th [...READING POLL NUMBERS: HEALTHCARE- OBAMA +39; ECONOMY- OBAMA+21; HOUSING CRISIS- OBAMA+21; TAXES- OBAMA +14; IRAQ- MCCAIN +5]. This is not the pundits or the media elite, this is a broad based poll across the country...

MCCAIN: That I don't agree with, I don't agree with...

BROKAW: People making judgments about who's qualified to...

MCCAIN:...their with their conclusion that I'm 11, or 12 or 14 point- whatever it is. We have polls, including I think a Zogby poll, showing us three or four points behind. So if you want to continue referring to a poll that I disagree with, I have to start out our conversation- I don't agree with that. We are closing, and we have been closing.

BROKAW: But it's not the only poll, Senator, a number of polls show...

MCCAIN: Oh, and it's not the only poll that shows us close, so, ya know, I'm sure we don't want to spend the morning arguing about polls that are accurate or inaccurate, but I will stand before the American people with my view that I think that we cannot find small business people and their, or their employ, small business people, who have employees without health insurance that he's gonna fine them if they don't have the insurance policy that they want, that Senator Obama wants them to have. That if they have children that don't have health insurance that Senator Obama wants them to have, that they will be fined, that he wants to spend an additional trillion dollars, I'll stand on those issues, I'll stand on them and I'll take the verdict of the American people, and I guarantee you that two weeks from now you will see, this has been a very close race, and I believe that I'm gonna win it.

BROKAW: I don't want to dwell on these polls unduly...

MCCAIN: Here were go again...

BROKAW: Even if you had a big margin of error...

MCCAIN: I can give you, I can show you, again, a Zogby poll, and our poll and other polls that will show different numbers than the one you're showing...

BROKAW: Those are the big universe polls...

The nation state of Poland, on the Eastern borders of Germany, had emerged periodically through the mists of European history, but never once in the same place as before.

The resurrection of Poland, under the terms of the treaty of Versailles, in 1919, had awarded that country a corridor of land, connecting Poland to the Baltic, and giving control to Poland of the ancient German seaport of Danzig. The Polish corridor effectively cut Germany in two.

Throughout the interwar years, conflicts between Poles and Germans in the corridor led to increasing polarisation,and by 1933 an indigenous Nazi Party in Danzig had gained control of the city, and begun agitation for reincorporation with Germany.

By the Spring of 1939 Hitler felt strong enough to demand the return of Danzig, and access through the corridor for road and rail communications with Danzig and East Prussia, but any justice behind these demands had been undermined by his occupation of Prague and the dismemberment of Czechoslovakia.

Incensed at what they regarded as a betrayal of the agreements of Munich, the British and French extended guarantees to Poland, and urged Hitler to solve the matter by negotiation.

On August 23rd, the Nazi - Soviet Non - Aggression Pact was signed in Moscow effectively concluding Hitler s negotiations, and signalling the death knell for Poland. In its secret clauses the Pact provide, not only for the division of Poland between these two powers for the fourth time in its history, but outlined general agreements for a division of Europe from the Baltic to the Black Sea.

As the German armies mobilised along the frontier, Britain dramatically converted her guarantees to Poland into a formal alliance, thus ensuring the inevitability of a European War.

The invasion of Poland began at dawn on September 1st 1939. While the German armies crossed the Polish border, the Luftwaffe began a co-ordinated air offensive against both strategic and civilian targets in Poland.

The attack on Poland had been in planning for several months, but the German strategy for the invasion had been in development for much longer. Although the German and Polish armies were numerically nearly equal, technologically and tactically they were light years apart.

Throughout the l920s and 30s the Germans had evolved a theory of aggressive warfare, which placed the emphasis on rapid armoured advances supported by air attacks. Against ten armoured German divisions, the Poles could field only one armoured brigade, the bulk of their mobile forces being cavalry divisions. Their artillery also was both antiquated and sparse.

But it was in the air that the Germans had complete supremacy. Most of the two thousand German aircraft deployed over Poland were modern specialist weapons. In the Messerschmitt 109, the Luftwaffe possessed the best fighter aircraft in the world. The twin engined Messerschmitt 110 could be used equally effectively as a fighter or as a bomber. The Junkers 87 or Stuka mounted sirens which made its effectiveness as a divebomber all the greater for its power to confuse and panic the enemy ainst columns of marching troops or refugees, the screaming Stuka was to prove a formidable weapon.

The Polish airforce on the other hand comprised some seven hundred planes, most of which were obsolete, the rest unquestionably inferior to those of the Luftwaffe. Its command and communications structures were woefully inadequate. In the first few days of the attack the Polish airforce was completely wiped out.

The campaign in Poland was a war of movement. No front formed for more than a few hours. The attack had been launched across the Northern, Western and Southern borders of Poland. In the West the German armies knifed through the Polish front in powerfully concentrated spearheads.

From the North and South the German attacks were intended to encircle the Polish forces and prevent them from retreating and regrouping.

Everywhere the Luftwaffe attacked remorselessly disrupting communications and supply lines. Attacking ahead of the army, the tactical bombers of the Luftwaffe performed the role of a highly accurate airborne artillery.

Topping the last campaign was never going to be easy but Insight art director, Fraser Anderson, together with his team took the Skate campaign to a whole new level.

The focus was to take skating way out of the usual context; to build from scratch
a skateable terrain in an otherwise surreal environment.

The spot was found, a coastal ranch in California, an isolated retreat complete with its own mad scientist. The boys rolled
in and in 2 days they built a two-storey house structure, a kind of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on crack creation.

Each room was themed for an individual team rider and the boys were all involved in the process of making it their own -- however these levels of rider involvement seemed to fluctuate depending on the amount of beer consumed the night before.

Four more days passed and the rooms were complete. Initial ideas rolled with the creativity of the day, rooms changed from bathrooms to recording studios as the personalities of each skater dictated. The result is a fun house with a cinematic vibe. Each room, a unique shot in itself, is framed by the raw beauty of a completely unrecognizable space.

Happened to see the campaign for new seven wonders. Finally, some New7Wonders got selected which are:
1) not democratically elected (one person can vote for any candidate million times)
2) not elected by every single citizen of this WORLD
3) got elected by particular countries by means of extensive use of campaigns, kiosks, SMS, internet, etc.
4) got voted for sentimental reasons

There are so many other monuments got omitted simply because lack of knowledge and research work. Tomorrow some other COMMERCIAL organizations come and do the same thing. Every seven months New7Wonders! Again SMS, mails, kiosks, etc.
