The great PM gives one of his most famous speeches. It starts off quite calmly but the old master builds the suspence.

Once Churchill was speaking in Parliament and was slightly muddled and incoherent in his speech. A rather unattractive lady MP on the opposite benches declared to Churchill: 'Sir, you are drunk!'. To which he replied 'Madame that may be true, but in the morning I shall be sober whereas you will still be ugly'.

In 1940 Adolph Hitler had conquered all of Europe except for a small island off the coast of France who refused to be conquered. This island was all that stood between Hitler and complete conquest in Europe. This island is Great Britain. Great Britain held off Hitler until the United States entered the war and that resilience and determination was the beginning of the end of Hitler. Without Great Britain, the Allies would have no foothold from which to invade Europe driving Hitler into his underground hole with the rest of the sewer rats. Winston Churchill was right when he called this "Their Finest Hour".

This Universal Newsreel from 15 February 1945 covers the Yalta Conference - a meeting between the 'Big Three': Prime Minister Churchill, Joseph Stalin and President Roosevelt at Yalta, on the Crimean Peninsula.

It was the second of the large war time conferences, preceded by Tehran in 1943, and succeeded by Potsdam (after Roosevelt's death) later in 1945.

The meeting took place between February 4 and February 11, 1945, with the Foreign Secretaries Eden, Stettinius and Molotov also in attendance.

Churchill prepares Britain to save the world, from Hitler. "But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age" ..."if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, "This was their finest hour" .

Although suffering setbacks in his own life he managed to lead a successful career as a politician, leader, and champion of democracy. (Stunk up the White House with his cigars) Helped rally Britain in it's valiant defense against Hitler. This is part of one his most famous speeches.

In November 1943, Heinrich Himmler (Donald Pleasance) received a simple message, "The Eagle Has Landed." It meant that a crack force of German paratroopers were safely in England, poised and ready to kidnap the Prime Minister of England, Winston Churchill. The force is under the command of Colonel Kurt Steiner (Michael Caine). All goes smoothly as the German force, disguised in Polish uniforms, is accepted by the villagers. But one of the men is killed while rescuing a little girl, and his German uniform is discovered. The entire village has to be taken hostage and hidden in the town church.

Halley's Comet returns to the solar system and the English/American team aboard the shuttle "Churchill", making a close-up survey of the comet, discovers an alien spacecraft in the head of the comet. Inside the spacecraft are some large bat-like creatures and in three cocoons are three "dead" humans - two men and a woman. The "Churchill" takes the humans and a creature back to Earth. There the bosses of the project are amazed to find the shuttle burnt out and all but one of the crew - Carlsen - dead. The humans from the spacecraft suddenly awake and all those who come into contact with them are drained of their "lifeforce" and in time all the victims - including most of the population of London - are turned into zombies all praying on the horrified survivors for their "lifeforce". It's up to Carlsen and Major Caine of the SAS to stop them before the whole world turns into a big blood-hunt...
