Even though federal prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald ended 2008 by asking for 3 more months to try to put together enough evidence to get an indictment against Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, Fox News repeatedly misstated this fact, as I show with the clips in this video. I further show how this factual error was part of a larger smear against Bill Richardson, Barack Obama, and Democrats in general that was reminiscent of a joke at Fox News' expense on the December 13, 2008, broadcast of NBC's Saturday Night Live.
