We got this piece at the beginning of the year and later listened to Herbie Hancock play a new version of So What by Miles Davis. So he told us to come up with a new version of Freddie Freeloader. This song starts out with the original version from the Kind of Blue album, and after the cymbal roll, I get on set for the new version. Cool solos in this. My friends from my other band- NOT THE INTRAMURAL ARTS BAND THAT COMPLETELY BLOWED!!!! MY OTHER BAND!!!- are in this- June would be a complete disgrace to jazz everywhere just like she is to rock! Some solos in this: Me, all 3 trumpets, 3 guitar solos (one by my rtm gtr Dan- whos guitar string broke so he had to play one of the other guys' guitar and had to set the killswitch to be heard!!), and bass (not Eric, another one that rocks at slap bass!)

NOTE: I'm not familiar with any other game other then Super Smash Bros Brawl working with the Freeloader. I can't guarantee I know the right answer so I recommend you do some research or seek out other people on youtube who know how to deal with it.


Q: Will I still be able to save on my Wii?
A: Yes, and you'll be able to load the data too. Although if you're using a PAL game to load a file saved from a NTSC/SECAM game, it might not work.

Q: Can I play online?
A: Yup, me and my friend were able to play a few games before the lag kicked in. Be sure to have a strong signal with your wireless, or buy a Wii USB LAN adapter.

Q: What's better, wireless? Or the Wii Lan Adapter?
A: I've got both and tested them. I can honestly say wireless is better. Wireless operates faster than the said "enjoy your uninterupted high speed gaming!" LAN adapter. The only thing I can say that's bad about wireless is that you need a strong signal (green bar on the Wii menu) for better online gaming.

Only get the LAN adapter if you don't have wireless.


Q: Should I install the update in the game?
A: Yes, it is required to run the game, it doesn't damage your Wii.

Q: What versions does the Freeloader and Brawl work with?
A: From what I've seen, 3.1E and 3.2E. Code Junkies e-mailed me and said it works with ALL versions below 3.2E.

Q: Do I have to use the Freeloader everytime I want to play Brawl?
A: Yes.

Q: Will the Freeloader block/damage/modify my Wii?
A: No, it won't.

Q: When I run Brawl, I get nothing but a black screen! Why!?
A: Follow the steps I've made below the FAQ section.

Q: I got Brawl, but it's in black and white. Why is this?
A: Your TV just has to support NTSC formats as well as 60hz, no HD TV is needed, however it's recommended for a better chance for colour.

Q: I have a hard time ejecting Brawl from my Wii, is it damaged?
A: No, it isn't. I have the same problem, but I've got a way to get around it. Rather then turning your Wii off, simply go on the main menu of Brawl (or anywhere an auto save won't occur) and press "eject", the Wii should spit out Brawl with no troubles.

Q: What games does the Freeloader work with?
A: The Freeloader is designed to work with ALL games, although I've heard rumours it won't work with Naruto Shippuuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX.
If it's a PAL Freeloader then it will work with NTSC and SECAM (American and Japanese) games and so on.

Q: Where did you get your Brawl and Freeloader?
A: I got mine from Ebay, I ordered both Brawl and the Freeloader individually rather then a set (£50 isn't worth it).
I would recommend Ebay because the service is faster, I got mine within 6 days, both the Freeloader and Brawl (the Freeloader came first). Considering my Brawl came from America that's pretty good.

These steps are for the people who have the black screen issue with brawl. First of all, change your Wii TV settings to 60hz, it will ONLY work with 60hz. If it still doesn't work, switch back to 50hz and follow these steps.

1) Insert Freeloader
2) Let it Load
3) Eject Freeloader then put it in again, and let it load.
4) Eject the Freeloader and put Brawl in. You should be prompted with an update from the disc.
5) Install the update.
6) Let your Wii restart (do it manually if it doesn't work)
7) Change your Wii TV settings to 60hz (if you haven't already.)
8) Insert the Freeloader, let it load. Eject it, then put Brawl in.
9) Load Brawl

This is what I did, believe me I was in the same shoes as you guys. IT SHOULD WORK NOW.

Bought the freeloader so i could buy and play Super Smash Bros Brawl before the PAL release.

NOTE: Nintendo has counteracted the boot-swap with a recent update. This method will NOT work if you have updated your Wii recently. The only way to undo the update is to reset all settings. Luckily, this can be done from the settings menus.

Using the freeloader on Wii to play Naruto: GNT4. I used a trick I found that loads the Wii into GameCube mode using a legitimate GameCube disc, and swapping the disc for the FreeLoader before the Wii has a chance to read the disc. Timing is crucial. Note: As the Wii reads the isc, the slot will glow blue for a moment. the disc must be swapped BEFORE or DURING this time. Note: This demonstrates the same process shown in my previous video, but with several changes. This time, I had a friend shoot the video, and I've moved my Wii closer to my television. This means the video will show the process better, the camera will be more steady, and I'll be able to perform the process more smoothly.

How to play your Import Gamecube games on a Wii with the use of a Freeloader or any other kind of mod chip or swap disc!!!

WHATS AN IMPORT GAME?
It's a game from another country/region like Japan Etc. It won't work on your machine, the same way as another region DVD wouldn't. Theres no legal reason why you can't play them, they put region locks on them to stop their other divisions creating more profit.

WHATS A FREELOADER?
It's a disc released by Datel for the Gamecube which lets you play import gamecube games (on a gamecube) You can also use an "Action Replay" which does the same thing, but also allows you to cheat on games.

SO WHY WONT THE FREELOADER WORK ON A WII ANYWAY IF IT'S A GAMECUBE DISC?
Because Nintendo are dicks and blocked the Wii from using it. No idea why they did, it's no skin off their nose if it did work, they're just being pissy.

WILL IT WORK ON MY US/EUROPEAN/JAPANESE Etc. WII?
Yes!!!! It'll work on any machine.

WILL IT BRICK THE MACHINE?
No, It's a software glitch, not a hardware or Flash glitch.

WILL IT WORK ON NARUTO GEKITOU NINJA TAISEN 3/4 OR DOSHIN THE GIANT?
Yes, it works Perfectly!

To be able to play Naruto 3 though, wait till after the intro ends, then when the menu appears press eject, then push the disc back in again and press start, and hey presto, you're ready to play.

WILL IT ALSO WORK ON IMPORT WII GAMES?
Sadly not no, only Import Gamecube games, the only current way too play import Wii games is to have a mod chip (like the WiiKey) installed.

WILL IT WORK ON COPIED GAMECUBE GAMES?
No.

WILL IT WORK ON COPIED WII GAMES?
No.

WILL IT DAMAGE MY MACHINE?
No it won't, But I wouldn't reccomend you do it for years on end, (just like anything that it's not really designed to do) just till you can buy a Freeloader. It's also less of an annoyance every time you want to play an import GC game.

WILL IT WORK ON MY WII NOW I'VE UPDATED IT TO V3.00?
Some people claim they can still, while others can't. So I can't give you a 100% definitive answer.
If you can't get it to work after three or four tries, the answer is most probably no and your only other option is to either buy a Gamecube and a Freeloader or have your Wii chipped. Sorry!
