Just days after Keith Olbermann inducted New York-based sports radio personality Mike Francesa into his "Worst Persons In The World" on November 7, 2008, Francesa conveniently ripped into Olbermann and his "Football Night in America" show on NBC, especially how they tend to speed up NFL highlights "like Benny Hill".

For someone who often says he pays absolutely no attention to NFL pregame, halftime and postgame shows, WFAN's Mike (Sports Pope) Francesa sure had plenty to say last week about NBC's "Football Night In America."

All of a sudden, the Sports Pope was awfully concerned with this particular network offering. He ripped "FNIA" to shreds, even saying if you "get rid" of Sam Flood, the show's producer, "maybe you could start to have a decent show."

So, Francesa goes from saying he never watches these shows to firing one of its producers. Why? Perhaps the Sports Pope was angered over one of the "FNIA" cast members, Keith Olbermann, making him the "Worst Person In the World" on his MSNBC "Countdown" show.

Nah, it couldn't be that. For Francesa, getting Olbermann's "award" actually amounted to good publicity. And about 3.5 seconds during which the nation got a chance to really warm up to the big guy...
