Søs Fenger - one of Denmarks most beloved singers with a fantastic voice, released in 1989 a solo album after being a part of the band News.

The solo album was called 'Vinterdage' and from that album this song is taken. The song 'Holder øje med dig' (Keep An Eye On You) was performed on the Danish TV show 'Hitlisten' in 1989 too.

The music and lyrics to this wonderful song was written by Elisabeth Gjerulff Nielsen.

"SIMPLY MARVELOUS" - Geoffrey Holder
A rare performance and glimpse into the "life and philosophy" of this multi-talented celebrity.

Immediately recognizable as the 7-Up, "Uncola man", his distinctive bass voice, heavy accent and hearty laugh are legendary. This is a clip from his "nightclub act" that was filmed at Joe's Pub at the Public Theater, New York City. Geoffrey is 6 foot 6 inches tall and shaved his head long before it was cool.

Geoffrey won the 1975 Tony Award for Best Director of a Musical, "The Wiz" (1975), the all-African American retelling of "The Wizard of Oz". That same year he was also awarded the Tony for best costume design and was nominated again for the original 1978 Broadway musical "Timbuktu!", which he also directed and choreographed. As a choreographer, he has created dance pieces for many companies, including the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and The Dance Theatre of Harlem.

He is "More Evangelist than Showman". Geoffrey burns with THEOSOPHY and UNIVERSAL LOVE.

Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Geoffrey came to New York City in 1952. Holder married dancer, choreographer and actress, Carmine DeLavallade in June of 1955. They met when they were both were in the Broadway cast of "Flower Drum Song". They live happily in New York City and have one son, Leo Anthony Lamont.

EVERYONE IS ALWAYS DELIGHTED TO SEE GEOFFREY HOLDER!!!

I first met Geoffrey in 1975 at a very crowded gallery opening of his work somewhere on Madison Avenue in NYC. Those were the days when video cameras had very bright lights. During the entire event that camera followed Geoffrey (who was the tallest person in the room) everywhere. I sensed his shyness and wondered if he needed a break. I asked him if he would like to sit and chat. Relieved, to be out of the spotlight, he said, "I'D LIKE THAT", and we became immediate friends. Geoffrey was, FAMOUS AT STUDIO 54. With his height, you could recognize him from anywhere in the room and everyone loved him. Today, whenever I'm out in the city with Geoffrey total strangers come up and give him a hug. It's a little startling, especially for him. I'm 5'10" and they always ask if I'm his bodyguard. I've gotten used to it; after all, they're just trying to get HIS attention.

He's is a wonderful and special man, mentor and a really inspirational friend. When you're with Geoffrey, one minute you're walking down Broadway and suddenly find yourself, "SKIPPING ON DOWN, THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD." AMAZING!!! Surprised, well yeah, but after all he is the man who created and directed The Broadway Musical, "THE WIZ". I'm sure you'll agree Geoffrey Holder is "MARVELOUS, ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS... HA, HA, HA, HA!"

This is a song called Yoni Kunda from the Australian experimental band Alchemist. It is off their cd titled Lunasphere. Drummer Rodney Holder stated this about the song.

"Yoni Kunda was based entirely around the mesmerizing riff that Roy came up with. I remember he just started playing it and I got into that basic beat with the off time on the hi hats and we just jammed it over and over until we came up with the structure. It was a song that immediately sounded good. I remember the first few time we played it live all the guys in the audience were head banging and the women were belly dancing up front. We though to ourselves that this was pretty cool. I think its one of the best songs we've written and is still a crowd favorite today. Roy's guitar solo and Adza's slide parts are really haunting. The lyrics are Indian I think from memory and translate to sacred vagina. We were young testosterone filled lads and the idea was basically to write a tribute song to women and fertility and all the stuff we were reading about and getting into...Ancient tribes and and fertility rites etc. It's still a great song to play today."
