As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens, many families are being displaced. About 13,000 people have fled their homes because of Israel's continuing assault on Gaza. Many lived on the outskirts of the Strip and are now in Gaza City, staying at UN schools that have been turned into makeshift shelters.

Sherine Tadros spoke to some Gazans who say there is nowhere they feel safe.

This video was shot as the massive fire front roared through Hidden Hills
Estates in Upper Yorba Linda earlier today. Believe it or not there were looky-loos throughout the area as this fire approached; we tried to warn them they only had a few moments, but when this thing hit, the race to get the hell out was on.

There was an obvious lack of resources available which no doubt contributed to all these multi-million dollar homes going up. There just weren't enough engines in the area to make a difference. Also, water pressure in the region was pathetically low. The firefighters with me as the front roared through were PRIVATE contracted folks, hired by the folks who owned the massive home we were alongside. They were the only equipment we saw up there for about 40 minutes after the front went through. By then it was too late for many other homes.

This footage was shot in the thick of it all - not down at the bottom of the hill with a cellphone cam! This footage is not for any rebroadcast without prior contact with/consent of the poster!

Almost 30 years ago, President Spencer W. Kimball opened the April 1979 General Conference with his address entitled, Fortify Your Homes Against Evil. I would highly recommend reading it. His warnings about the evil influences that surround us today are more important for us to heed NOW than it was for the Saints back in the 70's which was the "Brady Bunch" and "Leave it to Beaver" Days. I want you to know, that I did not stumble upon this talk by accident, without going into the details, I feel that I divinely guided and thus I felt inspired to create this following video. We live in a world that has made evil look good and good look evil. Television plays a huge role in this. It is my hope the you will watch this video with your families, especially if you have children. According to the United Nations, at least 507 Palestinians have been killed, and more than 2,400 injured since Israel began its offensive in Gaza. A quarter of those killed are civilians.

everyone has his right to think whatever he wants, but there are a few things you all should internalize -
the IDF does not attack Gaza in order to hit the civilian popualation.
HAMAS launches dozens of missiles over israel from citizens' homes, kindergardens, schools and even from mosques !!!!!! it doesnt make any sense, and it shows clearly how Hamas doesnt care about his citizens. that fact doesn't give the IDF any other choice, but distroying these houses, which causes the deaths of innocent people.

Shortly before 7:00am local time, yet another Israeli missile strike hit the residential neighbourhood of Hi Alijnina in the southern Gaza town of Rafah. This time a pharmacy was targeted, totally destroying the building and causing severe damage to surrounding homes. Electricity lines were torn down during the blast and the street was littered with medicines. This footage was filmed within minutes of the attack as fire fighters battled to control the blaze. Shocked residents poured into the streets, some still wearing pyjamas. Some of them are interviewed in this film.

Actor-director Ben Affleck and Sir Mick Jagger have launched a short film for UNHCRs new Gimme Shelter campaign to help raise funds and awareness about the crisis in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the work of the UN refugee agency.

In November, Affleck visited Africa to shoot footage in DRCs strife-torn North Kivu province, where tens of thousands have fled their homes since fighting resumed in August. He also visited Uganda, where some 30,000 people have sought refuge and are receiving help from UNHCR. The result is a short film entitled Gimme Shelter, set to the classic Rolling Stones song of the same name, which Jagger and the group donated to the campaign.

UNHCR hopes the Gimme Shelter campaign will help raise US$23 million in 2009 to pay for clean water supplies and emergency humanitarian assistance kits in the region.

The film - Gimme Shelter - was directed by Affleck and filmed by John Toll, both Academy Award winners. The footage was shot in the strife-torn North Kivu region of the DRC in November, where thousands have fled their homes since fighting resumed in August.
