Jermaine was a member of the original Jackson 5. In 1975, when they changed labels from Motown to CBS and were forced to rename the band The Jacksons, Jermaine, who was married to Hazle Gordy, daughter of the Jackson 5's Motown manager, left the Jackons to start a solo career. He was replaced by Randy Jackson in The Jacksons. He had some success as a solo artist and officially rejoined The Jacksons in 1984, alongside his solo career, making it a sextet of Jackson brothers until their final split in 1990.
He currently lives in Dubai and often resides in Bahrain. This song was used in the Diana Ross movie, "Mahogany".

This song is from his last album, You Said, released in 1992.

Jermaine Jackson was the only family member of The Jacksons to stay with Motown while the other brothers split for Epic Records. Jermaine Jackson a career outside of The Jacksons during the 70s, with hits like Daddy's Home, (1972) and Lets Be Young Tonight, (1975). Jermaine got a badly needed shot in the arm from Stevie Wonder, who wrote and produced Lets Get Serious, a Top Ten pop and soul dance hit that came around the time of brother Michael's pop ascendancy. After scoring a Top 20 pop hit in 1982 with the infectious, Let Me Tickle Your Fancy, Jermaine left Motown in 1983 for Arista Records, where he scored a pair of hits in 1984 with Do What You Do and the scintillating dance number, Dynamite. He made two more albums, Don't Take It Personal in 1989 and You Said in 1992.
