Eva's Village is a non-profit comprehensive social service agency. Our mission is to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, treat the addicted, and provide medical care to the poor with respect for the human dignity of each individual.

Spearheaded by Msgr. Vincent E. Puma and other concerned priests, nuns, and lay people, Eva's began as a direct response to the growing crisis of hunger and homelessness on the streets of Paterson.

When it was first opened in 1982, Eva's Kitchen was located in the basement of the old St. John's convent on Hamilton Street. Eva's Kitchen served its first meal to about 30 homeless people in April 1982. Residential recovery programs for both men and women followed quickly, as did the medical clinic and shelters for homeless men, women, and mothers with children. By 1996, when it moved to its new facility on Main Street, Eva's had grown into a full-scale village to meet the needs of the poor with its new 50,000 square-foot facility.

Pre-season games aren't usually memorable. However, on 20 October 2001 a pre-season game turned into a performance for the ages.

In a game where he wore Retro Air Jordan 3's, MJ played like it was 1988 scoring 41 points on 15-24 shooting. He scored 16 points in a six minute stretch in the 3rd quarter, which cut a 19 point New Jersey lead to 2. He also got his first dunk since coming back from his second retirement.

You can see Jordan dominating current NBA stars like Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson. It makes you wonder, if Jordan did this at age 38 (almost 39), can you imagine what he would do in the NBA today if he was 25?

Lady: first of all starting with the name: Queer as Folk, We've become very bold here in the year 2001 using that as a title. Tell me about the premise of this one.

Gale: Well, the title even though it comes across as having a, it has a double meaning, it's an old, it's an old phrase, meaning that there's nothing stranger then everyday people. The show was created in England originally it was by Russell Davies and Showtime has adapted it and it's a show about gay men in Pittsburgh and there lives...

Lady: In Pittsburgh? Poor little Pittsburgh gets picked on a lot, you know because I lived in Pittsburgh.

Gale: It's just set in Pittsburgh we're not picking on Pittsburgh. That's where we live and work and play. It's interesting its' great to be working with George we're both sorta on the same shows; television that deals with really honest characters that's one of the things about our show too it's showing a life style that has never really been explored, I don't think, in a serial television way that's been extremely explicit extremely true and compelling it's the drama and the story and the truth of the characters that have been responsible for our show being able to survive the first season. People want to see what happens.

Lady: How realistic is your character and what do you bring to it and how did you do your research?

Gale: My character is of course based on the character that was already created for this other show but, hopefully he's just as real as he can possibly be he's a very, sort of brutally honest, and somewhat iconoclastic personality he has his version of what is his own truth and his own pursuit of happiness which is being a totally liberated gay man in the United States with the rights and freedoms of anyone else. He wont allow himself to be marginalized for me it's just the writing is very strong and the character is very clear and strong. So for me in terms of my performance is just playing him and what's on the page because everything about him is there and just adding...

Man: He's an extraordinary man; yes he's an extraordinary man.

Lady: Now I have to know with the sexual preferences aside how Brian and Gale are anything alike.

Gale: Well, It's a character and I'm an actor, you know that's a question we can spend hours answering, I don't know exactly, I haven't figured that out yet. I mean I know certain things about it. I'm still trying to learn this character for myself and he's still being born. They're similarities and that I think you get casted to play any character because who ever is responsible for the production they see you and they see something about you that they want to see in this character or they feel that they're there. Um, so..

This is an excerpt from "Uncle Floyd's New Jersey", a show with Uncle Floyd as host. This show ran on CTN in the early to mid 80s and basically had Floyd walking around Northern New Jersey.

Originally recorded from the Kiss Farewell Tour 2000 at the New Jersey East Rutherford Continental Airlines Arena.

The Kiss Farewell Tour was a concert tour performed by the rock group Kiss. It was to be Kiss' last tour; however, in late 2002 they announced that they weren't going to retire as planned. On the eve of the tour in Japan and Australia, drummer and vocalist Peter Criss left the band due to contract negotiations. He was replaced by Eric Singer.

The original lineup of Paul Stanley (rhythm guitar and lead vocals), Gene Simmons (bass and lead vocals), Ace Frehley (lead guitar and vocals), and Peter Criss (drums and vocals) is the most successful and identifiable. With their makeup and costumes, they took on the personae of comic book-style characters: The Demon (Simmons), Starchild (Stanley), Space Ace (Frehley), and The Catman (Criss). The band explains that the fans were the ones who ultimately chose their makeup designs. The "Demon" makeup reflected Gene's cynicism and dark elements. Paul Stanley became the "Starchild" due to his tendency to be referred to as the "starry-eyed lover" and "hopeless romantic." Ace Frehley's "Space Ace" makeup was a reflection of him always being "spaced-out," and supposedly being from another planet. Peter Criss' "Catman" makeup was in accordance with the belief that Peter had nine lives due to his rough childhood in Brooklyn, NY. Due to creative differences, both Criss and Frehley were out of the group by 1982. The band's commercial fortunes had also waned considerably by that point.
