In welchem Verhältnis stehen zueinander Bibel und Koran, Christentum und Islam? Manche möchten meinen, daß Muslime und Christen im Grunde an den gleichen Gott glauben. Allerdings unterscheiden sich die Aussagen von Bibel und Koran erheblich. Können trotzdem beide von demselben Gott stammen? Dieser Frage möchte ich an dieser Stelle jenseits von Glaubensüberzeugungen mit einigen logischen Überlegungen nachgehen: Inhaltlich ist der Koran in gewisser Weise von der Bibel abhängig, da er viele Jahrhunderte nach der Bibel entstand, sich in weiten Teilen auf Berichte der Bibel bezieht und diese zum Teil - wenn auch verkürzt - wiedergibt. Der Koran behauptet an vielen Stellen ausdrücklich, er würde die früheren Schriften und das Evangelium (al-Injil) bestätigen. Das tut er jedoch objektiv nicht, sondern steht mit der Bibel und dem Evangelium als ihrem Herzstück deutlich im Widerspruch. Die Widersprüche zwischen beiden betreffen fast alle zentralen Glaubensaussagen und sind inhaltlich nicht überbrückbar, da sich die Aussagen von Bibel und Koran gegenseitig ausschließen. Anders gesagt: Der Koran macht über sein Verhältnis zur Bibel Aussagen, die den nachprüfbaren Tatsachen nicht entsprechen. Dies disqualifiziert ihn meines Erachtens unüberbrückbar: siehe video!

While it remains taboo to criticize religious faith in general, it is considered especially unwise to criticize Islam. Only Muslims hound and hunt and murder their apostates, infidels, and critics in the 21st century. There are, to be sure, reasons why this is so. Some of these reasons have to do with accidents of history and geopolitics, but others can be directly traced to doctrines sanctifying violence which are unique to Islam.

While there are undoubtedly some moderate Muslims who have decided to overlook the irrescindable militancy of their religion, Islam is undeniably a religion of conquest.

The only future devout Muslims can envisage - as Muslims - is one in which all infidels have been converted to Islam, politically subjugated, or killed. The tenets of Islam simply do not admit of anything but a temporary sharing of power with the "enemies of God."

Devout Muslims can have no doubt about the reality of Paradise or about the efficacy of martyrdom as a means of getting there. Nor can they question the wisdom and reasonableness of killing people for what amount to theological grievances.

In Islam, it is the moderate who is left to split hairs, because the basic thrust of the doctrine is undeniable: convert, subjugate, or kill unbelievers; kill apostates; and conquer the world.

Der Quran stimmt auch völlig überein mit historischen Fakten und mit Entwicklungen, die nach seiner Offenbarung stattfanden. Zum Beispiel beschreiben die ersten Verse der Sure ar-Rum, dass das byzantinische Reich eine große Niederlage erleiden, aber bald darauf wieder siegreich sein werde:

A. L. M. Besiegt sind die Byzantiner Im Land nahebei. Aber nach ihrer Niederlage werden sie siegen, in wenigen Jahren. Gott steht die Entscheidung zu, vorher wie nachher. Und an jenem Tage werden die Gläubigen frohlocken. (Sure ar-Rum, 1-4)

Diese Verse wurden um 620 offenbart, fast 7 Jahre, nachdem die götzenanbetenden Perser die christlichen Byzantiner besiegt hatten. Tatsächlich war Byzanz so schwer geschlagen worden, dass sein Überleben in Frage stand. So schien vielen der vorhergesagte Sieg unmöglich zu sein, auch die arabischen Polytheisten glaubten nicht daran.
Im Dezember 627 lieferten sich das Byzantinische und das Persische Reich die Entscheidungsschlacht bei Niniveh. Dieses Mal schlugen die Byzantiner die Perser völlig unerwartet. Einige Monate später mussten die Perser mit Byzanz einen Vertrag schließen, der sie zwang, das Byzantinische Territorium zurückzugeben. So war der Sieg der Byzantiner, den Gott versprochen hatte, auf wunderbare Weise wahr geworden. Dieses eine Beispiel allein beweist, dass
