Le secrétaire général du Hezbollah Sayed Hassan Nasrallah a comparé la guerre menée contre la bande de Gaza, à celle qui a été menée contre le Liban en 2006. Se prononçant dans la complexe du Maître des martyrs, (Sayed ash-Shouhada), par le biais d'un grand écran, il a évoqué la présence d'un projet américano israélien qui vise à imposer aux arabes un compromis, selon les conditions israéliennes, sans les territoires de 1967, sans Jérusalem, sans le retour des réfugiés. Et à enrayer tous ceux qui veulent le contre carrer, notamment, le Liban, la Syrie, la Bande de Gaza et lIran.

Sayed Nasrallah a accusé certains pays arabes d'être complices dans ce projet, voire d'en être des partenaires à part entière, révélant que le soutien de ces états aux frappes israéliennes est plus fort aujourdhui contre la Bande de Gaza, qu'il ne létait il y a deux ans contre le Liban. Le commandant de la résistance islamique au Liban sest adressé directement à l'Egypte, lui demandant de changer sa politique, d'ouvrir le passage de Rafah, de soutenir la résistance du peuple palestinien. Il s'est également adressé au peuple égyptien, lui demandant de descendre par millions dans la rue pour forcer louverture du terminal de Rafah.: Que le peuple (égyptien) sorte par millions dans la rue. Il est certes regrettable que l'on quitte une année et d'en commencer une nouvelle alors que nous sommes face à un grand désastre qui sest abattu sur nos chers frères, coûtant la vie à plus 300 dentre eux, et blessant plus de 1000 dans la bande de Gaza opprimée, abandonnée, mais qui résiste en même temps patiente et supporte toutes les difficultés.

Aujourdhui nous n'avons pas besoin dévoquer le modèle, celui de l'Imam Hussein (s), car nous sommes face à une nouveau modèle vivant de Karbala, devant une nouvelle scène de Karbala.

Quand nous nous remémorons l'histoire, nous comprenons de quoi il s'agit. Il s'agit d'une catégorie qui refuse l'oppression et qui décide de résister. Cette catégorie se trouve devant deux choix: celui de capituler et celui de résister. Or ce groupe là, il opte pour le deuxième choix, pourtant ce groupe là a été affamé, menacé, martyrisé, mais il ne rebrousse jamais.

Là-bas, Hussein a créé l'exemple et a fondé cette école islamique du refus de l'injustice et de la lutte contre l'injustice.

Du temps de l'Imam Husssein, ils lui ont proposé de deux une: L'humiliation ou le martyre. Mais il a refusé l'humiliation. Car Dieu à ses adorateurs. Le messager aussi, et les croyants aussi doivent refuser l'humiliation. Pourquoi le refus de l'humiliation. Parce que nous ne pouvons obéir aux tyrans, aux oppresseurs, aux despotes et admettre une vie sans dignité et sans droits. Ceci est en harmonie avec le coté humain de l'homme.

Ceci fut le cas durant la guerre 20006. La résistance, les résistants, le public de la résistance ont du choisir entre ces deux options. Vous avez refusé la vie de traîtres et avez opté pour la dignité. Malgré les destructions dévastatrices des milliers de vos maisons et malgré les milliers de tués et de blessés, et malgré tous ceux qui vous ont fermé leurs portes et vous ont critiqué.

Le résultat en est la victoire du sang contre l'épée.

Ce qui se passe à Gaza ressemble à ce qui sest passé au Liban et le résultat inchallah sera le même. Gaza assiégé par la faim, la terreur, et qui a subi hier les frappes terroristes et des martyrs aura le même résultat que le Liban.

Hier, Ismail Haniyeh est sorti des décombres et annoncé malgré les frappes israéliennes meurtrières: Nous n'allons pas abdiquer, quoiquils fassent nous n'allons pas accepter l'humiliation.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is the secretary-general of the Lebanese political party Hezbollah. In February of 2006, before the Israel waged War on Lebanon, three former US diplomats had a chance to meet with Sayyed Nasrallah as part of a delegation to the Middle East organised by the Council for the National Interest. During the meeting, Sayyed Nasrallah outlined the origins of the conflicts in the Middle East, the formation of Hezbollah and the story of the national resistance movement in Lebanon. Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is the secretary-general of the Lebanese political party Hezbollah. Although the United States considers Hezbollah a terrorist organization, three former U.S. diplomats had a chance to meet with Nasrallah in 2006, before Israel launched the Summer war on Lebanon. The diplomats were members of a delegation organized by the Council for the National Interest.

During the meeting, Nasrallah discussed Hezbollah's strategy to free Lebanese prisoners being held in Israel. He also spoke about the origins of Hezbollah, and recollected the role that the United Nations Security Council, the United States and member states of the Arab Union played in recent Lebanese history during which, they not only made no attempt to avail the Lebanese people of the occupation at the hands of Israel - who even laid siege to the Lebanese capital, Beirut - but instead supported the aggressions against Lebanon and labelled its' resistance movements as terrorists. He also recalled the reaction following an event - that was back in the news in the latest war on Lebanon — Israel's bombing of a UN observation post in the southern Lebanese town of Qana in 1996 which killed 106 Lebanese refugees.

One of the retired diplomats who met with Nasrallah in February was Edward Peck - he spoke to Democracy Now during the last war on Lebanon on what transpired during the meeting with Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah. Edward Peck is the former U.S. chief of mission in Iraq and ambassador to Mauritania. He served as the deputy director of the White House Task Force on Terrorism in the Reagan administration

BEIRUT: "He who polluted my land with his blood is now gone. He ran away like a lost subservient, like any coward ... He was defeated, Lebanon triumphed," sang Julia Boutros Friday night at the Forum de Beyrouth, using her voice to interpret Israel's latest war against Lebanon. With these words, which set a 6,000-strong audience ablaze, the Lebanese singer best known for her patriotic songs opened a regional fundraising tour entitled "Ahibaii," or "My Beloved Ones." All proceeds from Boutros' concerts will go to the families of those killed in Lebanon during the 34-day war, which saw the deaths of more than 1,000 civilians.

"Tonight I will sing for my beloved country, which has a special place in my heart," Boutros told her audience. "Especially after the July war, I grew more proud of it, of this great country."

During the show, Boutros asked the crowd to sing along with her on such songs as "We Love You, Yes We Love You." She also asked members of the audience to dedicate the words to someone they hate.

"I myself can now think of a few people I hate and to whom I will dedicate this song, so I would like you to imagine someone you hate and sing this song with me for him," she said.

The crowd, in turn, sang along with her ad verbatim for almost every song.

After a brief interlude, Boutros revisited some of her classics, ranging from love songs such as "Tsawar" ("Imagine") and "Wayn Msafir?" ("Where Are You Traveling?") to patriotic anthems such as "Ya Thuwar al-Arid" ("Revolutionaries of the Land"), "Nihna al-Thawra" ("We Are the Revolution").

Boutros coaxed her fans out of their seats, applauding, singing, cheering, raising fists in the air and waving the flags of Hizbullah and the Syrian Socialist Nationalist Party.

The highlight of Boutros' sold-out Beirut concert, however, was "Ahibaii," her latest single, an adaptation of one of Hizbullah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's speeches, addressed to his fighters during this past summer's war.

"I listened to your letter, and it had pride and faith, for you are as you said. God's men in the field ... a true promise you are, and our coming victory.

"I kiss the nobleness of your feet, they honor the honor, they were planted in the glory of our land, and thus they do not stumble or shake.

"With you, we will change the world, and make the destiny hear our voice. With you we will build the nice future. With you we will move on and triumph."

In an interview with The Daily Star before her concert Friday, Boutros says the latest round of violence in Lebanon moved her in ways she had never experienced before.

"When I saw so many people getting massacred, killed and displaced, I felt I needed to take a stand, to speak out," Boutros explains.

For this reason, she decided to adapt one of Nasrallah's speeches, which she said expressed her deepest feelings and thoughts, with the help of Lebanese poet Ghassan Matar and composer Ziad Boutros (her brother).

Boutros hopes to raise $1 million during her tour. She performed in Qatar on Monday, with concerts to follow in Dubai (November 14), Damascus (November 16) and Aleppo (November 18).

Boutros is also keen to perform the Nasrallah song in Europe and the United States, though no official dates have been set yet.

"Ahibaii" has garnered much attention since Boutros held a news conference to launch the single in September.

One question she has so far refused to answer, however, is whether or not she asked for permission from Hizbullah to transform the party leader's speech to song.

"Maybe yes, maybe no," she says. "Let's keep it this way."

The only Arab singer to embark on such an ambitious fundraising tour in the wake of Israeli military action was Umm Kulthoum, who did so after the war of 1967.
The Egyptian icon traveled around the world, raising not only hard currency but also people's morale, stirring the emotions and forging the solidarity of the Arab world.
Boutros says that through her tour she is trying to unite the Lebanese behind Lebanon and the resistance. She is also trying to unite the Arab world behind the resistance because, as she explains it, Hizbullah is the only power capable of defeating Israel.
"When I sing ["Ahibaii"], I feel so much in love with the resistance," she says. "I want the Lebanese people to believe in a united Lebanon that cannot be divided into sects. I am a Christian Maronite and I am singing for the South because the South is part of Lebanon."
Still, by singing Nasrallah's words, Boutros has effectively sided with one camp at a time when national unity is fragile to nonexistent in Lebanon. In doing so, she risks losing fans. However, she insists this doesn't matter as long as she is true to herself.
"The important thing is what I gained," she says. "I gained many people, I gained a position that I am proud of because there are certain things that matter more than money.

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, Thanks and Praise be to God, Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds, peace and prayers be to the seal of the prophets, Prophet Muhammad, his infallible household, his chosen companions and all the prophets and messengers ....

Peace be upon you, O Imam Hussein, the son of the Messenger of God, my salute and greetings of peace go to you, so long as I exist and as long as there is night and day...
Peace be upon Hussain and upon Ali the son of Hussain, the children of Hussain and Hussain's companions.

Brothers and sisters,
Peace, God's mercy and blessings to you all,
Condolences to you all, on this commemoration of what befell your Lord Aba Abdullah al-Hussain, the grandson of the Prophet (peace be upon him), on days such as these, in the month of Muharram.

Dear brothers and sisters,
It is unfortunate to begin the Islamic Hijri and Christian Gregorian year, witnessing a major humanitarian calamity in the Gaza Strip, a tragedy that claimed the lives of loved ones, martyrs and wounded, with the martyrs exceeding three hundred, the wounded a thousand in the Gaza Strip, which is under siege, oppressed, and downtrodden, yet at the same time resisting, patient and steadfast.

Today, we need not speak about the notion as we are witnessing the model of a new Karbala. What is taking place today helps us understand history more. Karbala's reality is about a few believers, who had refused humiliation and yielding to tyrants. Those believers were made to choose between humiliation and disproportionate confrontation that may lead to martyrdom...and so they chose martyrdom.

This group after being besieged with hunger, thirst, intimidation and threats, now they start killing them, yet they do not retreat, this is while martyrs are falling one after the other.
Is this not what happened with Karbala's Imam Hussain (pbuh)?

It was there that the original example was set, and upon which this Islamic humanitarian school was founded; everyday, throughout history we echo Imam Hussain's famous words, especially on the tenth day of the Hijri month of Muharram: "Verily, that claimer, the son of a claimer, [pointing to â??Ubaidullah Bin Zyiad] is overwhelmed by shame and disgrace! He has placed us between two choices, to either fight in a disproportionate confrontation or a humiliating and degrading surrender."
Hussain (pbuh) made his choice: "And how far disgrace is from us! Allah refuses us the life of disgrace, His Messenger and believers do too."

Why did he declare "And how far disgrace is from us", Why did he say "we shall never be disgraced?"
It was not an emotional outburst; it was rather a matter of humanitarian, ideological spiritual, religious and humane commitment, which springs from human values, dignity and human rights, for Hussain (pbuh) later tells us "...Allah refuses us the life of disgrace, His Messenger and believers do too, Indeed, proud, exalted and lofty spirits will never prefer to obey the vile people, rather than the death of the honorable ones."

Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary-general of Hezbollah, has told his fighters to be on alert for any possible Israeli attack on Lebanon following raids on Gaza that have killed nearly 300 Palestinians.
