But, eventually both sides said that scheduling problems and election campaigning ruled it out. That meant two separate VIP contingents and a double headache for security agencies. By Friday morning, the BJP had waited long enough. With elections in Delhi and Rajasthan, advertisements in dailies talked of terror. Advani used Mumbai to promote his cause, while Modi was at ground zero.

In the Kennedy years for the first time ever we began to play hard ball with the Delta, we defied them and challenged them and I think that this is all vital in order to understand where we are today.
