Although I enjoyed Barack Obama's recent web ad "Embrace" (the one with lots of hugging between Bush and McCain), I still think the campaign needs to be a little harsher. The idea of a continuation of Bush policies into a third term should be scary, not playful. Furthermore, I think it's important to emphasize that McCain has been "doubling down" on Bush's policies at the same time the rest of the nation (and world) has been abandoning them.

I created this ad to illustrate the kind of concept I'd like to see Obama's team develop.

Again, not claiming to match the quality of Obama's ad team here. :) But I think that it's a good message, and would work well on the disenfranchised former Bush supporters (or at least people who had neutral feelings about him early on), who feel like they know better know, and wouldn't make that mistake again. If the American people can "get it" about Bush, why can't McCain?

Left to right are police Lt. Neal Larson (Michael Dorn who plays "Worf" on Star Trek), Bob Harris (Greg Germann from "Ally McBeal"), Writer/Director Ken Tipton who plays Bill Everett, and Jason Wiles ("Bosco" on 3rd Watch) who plays St. Louis TV reporter Don Deetz.

The role of Don Deetz is named after one of Ken's best former video store managers named Donna Dietz. The role is also based on the real TV reporter who helped Ken expose the corrupt St. Louis Prosecutor. That reporter's name was Herb Humphries. St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney Eric Manion (John Dye) is honored with the "Man of the Year" award by Bob Harris (Greg Germann) as TV Reporter Don Deetz (Jason Wiles) covers the story.

Manion takes pride in the fact that he made the names of the customers of prostitutes public and one of those customers was a good friend of Don Deetz. The friend committed suicide rather than face the public humiliation and Deetz holds Manion responsible. It's clear that these two are destined to battle, but no one could ever guess what lay in store for them both.

Leito escapes, however in retaliation, Taha sends his baddies to kidnap Leito's sister, Lola. Soon, Lola is strung out on heroin and Leito finds himself doing sit-ups in prison. Meanwhile, undercover cop Damien captures a Latino crime boss and shuts down his illicit casino, against very stacked odds. As a reward, Damien is assigned to penetrate notorious Suburb 13 and stop the countdown on a deadly bomb that was hijacked by Taha.
