Producers' Commentary - Meet Mike and Diane Howard. Mike (Matt Letscher) is an IBM computer repairman. Mike brings home a Betamax VCR as a surprise. But his wife Diane (Sarah Joy Brown) is not happy. She works as an ICU nurse and is pregnant with their first child. Saving every penny for the baby and a new home is all she is interested in at this time.

NOTE: A scene was deleted from the movie that shows Mike fixing a payroll computer that a woman had thrown up on. The business owner was real life appliance king Steve Mizerany who owned the New Deal chain of stores in St. Louis. For fixing the computer under such nasty circumstances, Steve gives Mike a floor model Betamax VCR.
