I met a girl at the Ellis Island Casino in Las Vegas and wrote this song for her. This is what really happened. Her name was Cathy and this is how she made me feel that night. Sometimes, you affect each other and dont know what you really are doing.

Nathan Hughes has be graciously granted much of your respects and I know he appreciates all the kind words. Many of you have enjoyed his craft so much that you have sought him out with praise and words of encouragement on myspace.com.

Nathan, an incredible and inspiring talent on bass, great husband to Kate and new father now sits at the proverbial crossroads.

A small but talented recording studio in the Boston area saw his video and has expressed interest in bring him into the studio for a secession.

For all those who enjoy Nathan's unique music and style, this is a call to push him down the path we all would so enjoy watching him follow. Please take a moment to head over to Nathan's Myspace page where he resides and encourage to mark a new beginning, for himself, for his family, for us, the fans. A humble guy often too shy to divulge his own talents to friends or in public, Nathan has a chance to deliver, if only once, a performance we can all take to our private places and enjoy with simple remarks of a job well done or spread to our friends who might need a little of what he has to offer.

It's been said before and even promised but as we all know life often times leads us down a path outside our control. Nathan is going to do an album and all of you on Youtube and Myspace who have taken the time to write kind words of encouragement to Nathan personally are the reason. Stay tuned and I promise, hell or high water we will hear more from Nathan, the most recent Nathan, the humble yet talented guy who smacks up the bass. Nathan, I wish I could say im sorry for the new write up but i'm not. When I was a kid may father would play Grand Funk Railroad albums and tell me how Mark Farner was the man. It wasn't until I was 15 years old I understood what he felt for Grand Funk. Rushing home from school, the tour bus parked on my street, through the door and standing in my house was Mark Farner...My dad invited him over to my home for pizza and a chat while they were touring in CT. I was more impressed my dad tracked him down then I was Mark accepted the invite. I laugh now, 16 years later, but when I search for tunes on Youtube every once in a while I fire in the GFRR and watch the maniac rip on guitar and it brings a smile to my face. Bet you didn't know my Mark Farner story...lol! You, like me probably remember the album cover of the band naked on the hay bails. Point is im not sorry for holding you to the coals but im only following the example my father set. Let someone know if they made a small difference in your life or thinking and that's what im doing.

Thoughts during election night...

They keep telling us that since it's a matter of human rights and there are still 2-3 million votes not counted - we should wait. Meanwhile, the YES people are dancing in the streets - rejoicing their PREJUDICE!!!

Yet even if we manage to squeak out a last minute victory (which seems at this point a tenuous hope at best) I know that in "liberal" Los Angeles county where I live, the vote was split 50% - 50%. As I write this it seems that there were only 20,806 more votes for Prop 8 than against.

So as I walk around today, one out of every two people I see DO NOT want me to have equal rights. They see me as inferior, because I'm gay. And that is so hurtful, and it makes me unbelievably mad. It makes me want to scream at them. Makes me want to try to hurt every one of the over 5,160,000 California voters for Prop 8 in a way that makes them understand how they've made me feel. How much they failed in their attempt to belittle, to marginalize, to shame me and my love.

But my challenge - my true challenge of character - is that the OTHER one of those two people DO want me to have equal rights. They DO value me as a human being, and they DO believe that our country really does stand for "Liberty and Justice For ALL" and that "All" includes Gay Americans like me. I want to hug them. All 4,760,000 plus of them.

And as I walk around, I have no idea who is who.

So I have a choice. Succumb to the tidal wave of bitterness that threatens to overwhelm me? See the glass as half empty, see everyone as a potential Nazi Gay-hating jerk?

Or see the good? Believe the glass is half-full? Take heart at the progress Gay Americans have made in such a relatively short time, compared to the slow progress of public opinion in "approving" interracial marriage?

It is confusing and emotional. And it has totally ruined my Obama day. The black community voted 75% FOR 8. shocking. it wasnt' so long ago they didn't have rights. I don't understand. Why would anyone not want Cooper to be equal?

Here's some clips from this live-action/computer-animated update of Ross Bagdasarian's squeaky-voiced cartoon characters finds the chipmunks (in CGI form) transported from their woodland habitat to the city, where they wind up in the home of Dave Seville (Jason Lee). Clifford Lee Burton (February 10, 1962 -- September 27, 1986) was a bass guitarist, best known for his work with the thrash/heavy metal band Metallica from 1982-86.

Burton's early influence was essential in creating the unique musical style for which Metallica would later become famous. Burton first joined the band in 1982, and performed on their debut album Kill 'Em All (the title of which came from him), which was composed of songs that had been written prior to Burton's arrival. Burton's influence was heavier on the follow-up, Ride the Lightning, which showcased the band's evolving compositional technique. Burton's final album with Metallica, Master of Puppets, was a critical and commercial success. Burton was killed in 1986 when their bus crashed in Sweden, on a tour promoting Master of Puppets.

David Ellefson (born November 12, 1964 in Jackson, Minnesota) is a bass guitar player who is best known as a former member of the thrash metal band Megadeth. He is currently a member of Ministry, Avian, Temple of Brutality, F5 and Killing Machine.

Jason Newsted is an American bass guitarist, currently a member of Voivod and Rock Star Supernova. He is best known as a former member of the band Metallica, which he joined in 1986 following the death of Cliff Burton, and left in 2001. He currently resides in Walnut Creek, California.

Pantera was an American heavy metal band from Arlington, Texas, that formed in 1981.[1] Although initially influenced by 1980s glam metal/hard rock bands, thrash metal acts such as Slayer and Metallica as well as traditional metal bands such as Black Sabbath would prove to be influential in the band's significant change in musical direction at the end of the 1980s. From there, Pantera became a key formulator of the groove metal (post-thrash) subgenre of heavy metal music.

It would not be until nine years after forming that Pantera saw its first piece of commercial success in its major label debut, Cowboys from Hell. From there, Pantera became one of the most celebrated heavy metal bands of the 1990s.
